Meet your Speech-Language Pathologist
Becky Bruso is a ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working with children and adults in a variety of school, clinical and medical settings. She received her Bachelors Degrees in Liberal Arts & Sciences as well as Communication Disorders from Utah State University, and her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Akron, Ohio.
Becky is a Utah native. After living abroad with her family in Thailand and South Korea, she spent 5 years finishing her clinical hours and externships in San Antonio, Texas. She has worked in many settings, including elementary schools, private clinics, school for the deaf and hard of hearing, adult rehabilitation/skilled nursing facilities, and an ENT doctor’s office.
Becky and her husband are the parents of 3 incredible daughters. She enjoys spending her free time singing, playing piano, hiking and running with her two dogs, baking, and reading.

Speech therapy
In-person or online, this is designated for individuals to improve articulation, language, voice or stuttering. Typically, sessions are once or twice weekly.

Evaluation
In-person, but may be available online as needed. 1 hour evaluations will confirm the presence of an impairment or delay, recommend goals and schedule, and provide a written report within 72 hours.

Tongue Thrust therapy
In-person or online, this intervention uses oral-facial myofunctional strategies to target proper tongue placement during swallowing and speaking, in order to eliminate immature swallow, improve articulation and reduce the need for orthodontic intervention.

Swallowing Therapy
Cognitive-Linguistic Therapy
In-person, at the office or at your home, this therapy benefits individuals who have experienced stroke, dementia, aphasia or traumatic brain injury (TBI). This therapy targets executive function, language, planning, sequencing, memory, and safety awareness.
